What is Water Restoration?

Water restoration is the process used to fix an area that has been damaged by water. This water damage could be due to a broken pipe, overflowing toilet, leaking appliance, or other plumbing problem. It could also be due to a natural disaster or accident. Regardless of the cause, however, a water restoration company will dry out the water and clean up the mess that resulted. If there is standing water, it will be pumped out to assess the damage and begin the professional water restoration process. Any damaged materials will be removed and either cleaned or disposed of before proceeding with the rest of the water restoration activities. The area will then be dried up using professional-grade blowers to circulate air and thoroughly remove any remaining moisture regardless. Afterwards, your home will put back to its original state by replacing drywall, baseboards, carpet, or anything else that was damaged beyond repair.

While some homeowners try to clean up water damage on their own, water restoration isn’t a DIY process. It requires a team of water clean up professionals with the right tools to get the job done quickly to avoid the growth of mold and bacteria.
